Hi All _

I've noticed a couple of times when I restart phone my battery percentage will change immediately on reboot . Example today I was at 91% and after reboot it went to 86 % .. then without using phone dropped to 83% shortly after ... Just wondering if anyone can reproduce.

I'd like to have an auto schedule reboot like the Note but I don't see option for it ...

Thanks for checking

My experience is that a reboot does drain the battery a little and i have seen it to from 1-2% but not go down even more shortly after.

Also, may I ask why would you like to schedule a reboot? I have been using pixel devices since the pixel 1 xl and they don't require reboots. I mean there could be a time you might run into something and might require a reboot, but unlike older Android phones or even some non pixel phones I never find myself needing a reboot as the OS runs so well. I don't experience slowness or anything where I have the need to restart. Is there another reason why you are wanting to schedule reboots curious on your use case?

Thank you for reply ... I've used Pixel phones before and I do agree they run smoothly no slow downs .. just a personal preference to so a reboot I like having a fresh start daily .. I guess because I'm used to it with my other devices ...

I felt they drop in battery was excessive more why I'm concerned ...

Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah, rebooting every morning is probably excessive. I tend to reboot only if I've installed a bunch of app updates, transferred over a bunch of photos or music, or if an app seems sluggish and clearing the cache doesn't help.

If I have a issue with a particular app I just force close and if I have a operating system glitchy I will restart the phone other then that I leave it alone and don't use auto restart on any of my phones .

Thanks for input .. I know I'm a creature of habit just like to see that splash screen on reboot ... Otherwise no complaints with phone ... I'm still not sure if I'm keeping as daily driver as I do miss my Note +... Unless I just start switching weekly haha
