Coming from an Iphone 5, I got spoiled at the fast recharge rate..... This thing takes forever! Besides that.... This phone is Awesome!

I remember when i went from an iphone to the s2, felt the same way ha Kinda sucks but i understand the batteries on android devices use more juice and thus are more powerful batteries therefore taking longer to charge

Curious, using the HTC AC charger or via USB or some other power brick?

Not that your asking me or anything but i personally use the AC charger and usually charge at around 10% and its easily taking 3 hours to reach full charge

This was intentional by HTC by what I understand. They have a longer charge time and disable Qualcomm's quickcharge feature to improve battery longevity since it's a non-removable battery. And it's a 60% larger battery than the iPhone 5, so it is going to take longer.

I use a 2.1 amp charger so it really doesn't take as long as it would with the included charger.

I would say it has something to do with it being a lithium ion polymer and a larger battery in general. If the phine would be set up for a slow charge as another poster said it would give the battery a better and a more complete charge. Maybe it helps from over heating too.

Might be my imagination but it seemed to charge faster if I put it in power saver mode before charging.
