Does anyone know if the phone keeps searching for a 4G connection even when you're signed on to a wifi network? I'm wondering if this is the case if it might be a good idea to disable data while you're in wifi.
Any thoughts?

i always disable wifi and 4g when i'm not using the phone. otherwise, it's gonna search for signal everytime the phone is on, which will cause battery drain.

Do you have location reporting on? What apps are syncing with your Google account? I don't have an S5 but shuttling off reporting and unchecking everything other than Gmail cut "Android System" for both my Moto X and M8 to under 10%. Disabling any carrier bloat too always helps.

It only drains your battery if in a weak signal area. The phone will keep the connection to the towers but use your wifi.. Then jump to 4g once off wifi.

If one turns on Ultra Power Savings when the phone is not in use, then it could last up to a full week without a recharge.

Dude.....lol......you're terrible.

Disable your animations, uninstall any app killers and disable location when not using the phone. Also you can use Ultra Power Saving mode if you're really needing a phone that will keep a charge for a week or more.

I forgot to take a screen shot. Under moderate use some gaming, i had like 20 hours on battery. was down to 5% at 20 hours
