Ok i'm sorry if this is covered in the battery thread but it's 66 pages long, kind of hard to get anything out of.

I've had my incredible since release and have the seidie 1750 battery.

usage is great on the weekends, for instance saturday took it off the charge at 8am, had roughly 50% left around 11 when i plugged it back in.

But my office has poor reception and for instance today..took it off at 7am and it was dead by 12:30pm

This phone does the worst at managing the battery life when service is low of any phone i've ever seen.

any tips or tricks on this particular issue, do i have something set wrong??

thanks for the help

I would turn off data roaming, and select home only for the cdma roaming mode. Maybe try unselecting mobile data always on. Basically you might try to play around with those settings and see what works best.

I'm pretty certain that constantly "searching" for a signal when you have bad reception has a way of chewing through a battery. Look to se if you have any apps that are keeping the 3G symbol lit all the time...that eats batterys. If thats the case and you have wifi in your building, connecting to that and having wifi set to never sleep should help as well.

thanks i'm going to try the data roaming and cdma thing.

and i agree the constantly "searching" thing has been a problem with every phone i've ever owned but being dead by lunch is just too horrible

When I get in area's with little to no signal I just put the phone in airplane mode and check it every no and then for missed calls or to sync messages.

Oh yes, indeedy.

My Incredible's stock battery has been reliably lasting the entire workday even with moderate use, but today I gave it a torture test by using the phone on the Amtrak train from Boston to New York. The voice and data signals get very weak in spots along this route, and even without using the phone all that much, my battery drained dramatically in just a couple of hours -- good thing Amtrak lets you plug in at your seat :)

(BTW, yes Amtrak has free WiFi on the Acela, yes it connected fine on my phone, and no it isn't reliable - very flaky on/off)

FWIW, it's been suggested that if you have wi-fi access on a regular basis, then make sure yours is on. Supposed to use less power than having to constantly search for a 3G signal.

yeah i don't have wireless available at my office

i think my phone is flaking out...i shut it off last night to charge while off, when I woke up it was back on

it just restarted a few minutes ago, first time it's done that to me

not impressed right now.....not impressed!
