It depends on what you are going for.

They have an awesome one that looks like energy tanks from Super Metroid. I have used that one. I am currently using GSam Batter Monitor. Its a great way to see what is using your juice along with a cool widget in the top bar.

Mainly I want something that shows the percentage and also helps me make sure the battery isn't draining quickly.

Use Bit defender Power tune up application available in Google play it let's you manage your battery eg when it's 30 percent left it turns of unused apps also switches off wifi and 3g to save you till you put it on the charge and it also let's you clean your device like delete all cache from history on the Internet and from downloading apps etc
