BB exchange policy 14 days or 30 days?

So im not sure where to post a BB question but since i am looking to exchange for a TB you folks may be able to help

I was told by a BB rep that even though VZW changed to 14days for returns, that BB still honors 30 days since that is their policy.

This meant that if i wanted to exchage a phone after 14 days i could, however i couldnt return it and cancel my line without paying an ETF. Does this sound right? I have an iphone 4 which i dont mind keeping if i have to but would like to exchange for a TB if it comes out soonish...

my 14 days will be Friday with the iphone so im planning ahead sicne i doubt the TB will be out by then.

It's 14 days to return and cancel the service. 30 days to return and exchange it with another device.

God I wish we knew if it was going to be out in 30 days, I need a phone to tide me over but I don't want to get stuck with an incredible.

So if you sign for a new 2 year contract with BB on a Droid Incredible, you can exchange it for the Thunberbolt if it comes out within 30 days and stay on that same contract?

Or is the 30 day return policy only for buying off - contract?

The first, I think. I'm more or less ready to say **** it though, and get an Atrix. This is getting silly. And I spend enough time abroad that having a GSM phone is an advantage.

Yes. You are right. You are just exchanging the device, the contract remains the same.

But if you want to return the phone and cancel the contract, you only have a 14 day window.

Just to clarify its 14 days for either returns or exchanges. Doing any exchanges outside verizons new 14 day policy is a violation by bestbuy thus we are writing 14 days on contracts and informing them at time of purchase. So in other words, don't count on it

When I picked up DInc as a loaned phone while I wait for TB, the rep told me I could exchangewithin 30 days. Now that you mention it, I think I should call again and confirm.

That isn't correct. The handsets still fall within Best Buy's exchange period.
