BBC iPlayer on Nexus 10

If I stop a downloaded programme and want to resume watching later, my Nexus 10 shuts down as soon as I try to restart it. This didn't happen, I think, before KitKat. Any ideas anyone?

I've not got an aswer but the exact same happens on my Nexus 10 too. Hopefully either google or the iplayer app people will get onto it.
