be wary of changing your Samsung email address

Changed my Samsung pass email from Gmail to an encrypted email, just my financial stuff as I'm trying to get anything important or sensitive away from Gmail. When I went to use my phone it wiped everything on Samsung pay and Samsung pass, removed all saved cards and sign in data, and now it won't let me sign in to Visa checkout.
This right after Samsungs premium insurance changed their network and booted a lot of people off and wouldn't let me pay without setting everything back up.
Sometimes I hate technology.
