belt clip on galaxy s holster

So, I dropped the coin on the Samsung Galaxy S leather holster for one reason: the sprint website said the belt clip was removable. And now that I have it, I find that it is very much not. Boo sprint. Anyone have any idea how to get rid of that awful thing? I'd really like to use it as a pocket pouch. Thanks!
