I'm traveling to Bermuda next week, and hoping to do some geocaching while I'm there.
Does the GPS work on the island? And what kind of coverage can I expect?
Thanks!
Call and ask sprint. Your GPS will work as long as you have data service..... yea have fun with that phone bill..... like I said this is a question for sprint, not AC. Hints no replys.

Sprint coverage assistant says you may have voice and 1xrtt data for exorbinant rates, but I'd suggest just using it as a wifi only device while you are there. You will save a lot of cash and will be able to use the gps while you are in wifi zones (which will probably surprise you with availability).
GPS works in airplane mode. Takes a little longer to lock on your position without wifi or cell tower position to get started, but it does work. Also, Google Maps has a Labs option to pre cache a 10 sq mi area for use when going offline.
Just make _real_ sure you turn off phone and/or data services. Text services even are expensive. I keep my old, unlocked Treo for just this purpose. Slip in a local SIM and I'm off and running. (And then you could use your EVO GPS in airplane mode.)
