I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and have previously had a Nexus 6P, Iphone 6S Plus, and the Nexus 5X this year. I also currently have an HTC 10 on Verizon. I have to say that of all the phones out there, the HTC 10 tops them. For me, the size is perfect, the feel is wonderful ( D brand carbon fiber skin ) and the operating system is almost pure Android. I wake it by just double tapping the screen. I am not even sure where the power button is, I reach for it so infrequently. The speakers are great and the HI RES headphones are really superior. It never misses a beat hooking up to my bluetooth in the car. This is a super great phone. It just goes to show you that if HTC had the marketing dollars that Samsung spends, it could sell the same or more than Samsung. I am sure HTC will make a great Nexus phone, but not as great as their flagship, the HTC 10. Buy one now and you won't regret it.

This is encouraging to hear for a phone that has now been out awhile also. Always been a pretty good fan of HTC devices, having had several. Looked at this right after it released and was a tad underwhelmed, not disappointed just underwhelmed. I have been enjoying my Moto MXPE since January and like it a lot. Only issue really is the size is starting to get to me. So I have been revisiting the 10 as a possibility. Good to see people still think it's a great device. Now if I could just find a good bargain without having to get back in contract......
One thing I'd miss for sure is the great speakers on the MXPE. But there are always trade offs so other goodness can offset that. Some times I wish I was more of a headphone guy, since the 10 is supposed to be so good in that regard, just not. Used to like tuning out the world when I was younger, now I don't so much.

The only reason I didn't get the 10 was for the smaller screen, smaller battery, and the not as great camera oh also all the promos for free gear vr and free year of netflix but if htc made a htc 10 XL. Really wished samsung at least gave us amazing headphone playback

Try Swappa. HTC 10 in mint is going for under $500

Got one off Swappa for $430 (mint it says). Probably arrive next week. After large screens for the past 2 years downsizing is sounding kinda nice. Always liked HTC. Thanks for the Swappa tip :)

I went from the Moto X PE to the HTC 10. I might've gotten a dud as my Moto X PE became laggy after the Marshmallow update. I agree about the size of the phone getting to me too. I will say, I do miss the front speakers and Moto display. Overall, the HTC 10 is just a better phone though. Better screen, better camera, and just snappy quick..plus, yeah the audio from the headphones is the best I've ever heard from a phone , by far. And mind you, I was a big Moto fan up until this year and was pretty much an HTC hater after having the laggy (always froze up) HTC Hero up until I checked out the M8, which was decent. I can say you wouldn't be disappointed if you got an HTC 10.

Also, I was going to say, yeah the speakers aren't loud compared to the MXPE (My only complaint with the 10), but if you have a bluetooth speaker it shouldn't be a problem.

Well played. You might want to try a Dbrand skin. I have a black carbon fiber and it looks and feels great. Prevents slippage and keeps it at original size.

Htc central, the best smartphone htc 10 with the ridiculous battery life and 2 different crappie display

Ive used S7E a handful of times via friends, and while better than any other Samsung device, still doesnt do it for me. I used the 10 in store for 5 mins and was sold as it does exactly what I want out of MY phone. Also I like the look compared. This isnt to say the S7E is bad by anymeans. Its a very solid phone, just not the phone for me. I tried both for myself, HTC won hands down for what I need out of a phone. This varies for everyone in the end of course.

Sounds good although I have had issues with skins in the past, but never tried dbrand . Might give it a whirl.

It will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the Z Force (I guess comparisons are already around) and the Nexus phones later in the year.

For me it's a tough choice. Progress in phoned have plateaued so quickly that it's now small differences that make it. HTC wins with near Android stock OS, Samsung S7 Edge has better screen and battery life. Moto Z has OS and styling (I've not used one though), the 6P is still up there but for me is too big, the Oneplus Three is cheap and has a lot...

Take your pick, but in many ways 2016 was the year phones bunched together capability wise and it was the first year I can remember when nothing exciting came out.
