Best 4G phone for signal?

I went and got my wife a Samsung gs3 as her last upgrade before the dreaded "share everything"*. She previously had a HTC Incredible stock gingerbread, rooted.

I figured it is the best phone on Verizon so how could it miss with her?

So far (since Monday) she has had a variety of signal issues in areas where the Incredible was fine.

- She has low wifi signal in the house.
- She has dropped calls on her commute where the incredible did not drop calls. Not only are they dropped but she then can't get a signal to reconnect for several minutes until she gets through the area of low signal (where she could talk on the incredible before)
- She has low 3G signal at work inside where she used to have good 3G as she sits next to a window. To make matters worse her work is in a 4G area, so 4G outside the building, inside crappy 3G (when she should be getting 4G inside or at least good 3G)

So basically we're looking to return it while within the 14 day worry free period which brings me to the point of my thread;

What would be the best 4G dual core, super phone on Verizon with the best signal?

I am thinking HTC Incredible 2 4G** might be a good fit as I know the Rezound has reportedly good signal reception.

I have a Droid Bionic and I have had nothing but crappy signal issues with it so I am really hesitant on getting another Moto even though I had and still have and use a Droid 1. That said would a RAZR Maxx deliver good signal?

Thanks for your input.

*we're on a 700min share plan w/3 lines, 2 smart phones (I have a bionic) each with unlimited and 1 dumb phone with stand alone text plan. Share everything will be at least a $20 price increase over our current plan and we'll loose unlimited data, thanks Verizon!

** thanks Nakrohtap for correcting me.

She might want to do a factory reset with the s3. Might help. If not the htc 4g phones do nicely.

The RAZR MAXX is probably the king of signal and definitely is of battery. In a lot of ways I miss mine (got a new S3 and gave my son his choice of it or the MAXX - he took the MAXX :rolleyes: ). I miss my smart actions and the stronger signal (but for where I travel to not that much stronger) but NFC tags will replace smart actions, albeit more expensively :eek: .

The Incredible 2 is not a 4G phone. The best might be the Razr Maxx. But, since she had an incredible, the Incredible 4G would be a great substitute as well. It's also a little cheaper than the Maxx.

Sell it and buy a used Rezound. You'll make money and keep your unlimited data - best of all worlds!

I forgot there was a 3G incredible 2.. for some reason I was thinking the Incredible 4G was the 2...

Go with the RAZR MAXX, it's a great phone. Battery life is extraordinary and I've never had signal issues.
