We just bought our Galaxy Nexus from Google. Can anyone recommend a 3rd party warranty service that provides protection from accidental damage. In the past we've used Square Trades, but they have a $99 deductible which seems pretty steep on a phone that costs $349 new

These guys have good rates and low deductibles. Don't know how they are beyond that however:

Thanks. I called them. They charge $45/yr for the accidental damage policy with a deductible of $50. The premium is about equal to Square Trade, but their deductible is one half the amount. Sounds like a better deal as long as the company is reputable. Any more recommendations?

I can't recommend it myself since I never got it, but when I was reading up on insurance a while ago I came up on this:

Buy & Compare iPhone Insurance Phone Insurance Cell Phone Insurance

Here is a good read as well:

Thanks. Interesting. I did sign up with Worth Ave Group. They even cover loss and theft and pay the replacement value. Several companies I called only pay current market value and they decide what that is! Also, Worth Ave offers unlmited claims, but reserve the right to cancel you if claims excessive; not sure what excessive is.

if you are abusing it like claiming too many time just to get a new phone.

Thanks. However, there may be a fine line between abuse and clutsiness :) The offering at Worth Ave Group seems almost too good to be true (compared to their competitors); hope they are legit. BTW, we just ordered the Ballistic case which includes corner shock absorbers so hopefully that will cut down on the claims.
