Hi guys.

So I'm not a big fan of touchwiz my carrier changes the default icons to a really bad designed ones. So I would like to ask what is the best alternative launcher to get the closest stock google experience? Currently I'm using Nova, but it has some design issue the annoy me a lot.

So any other launcher that you recommend for the S4 mini?

If you don't like Nova, try Apex. It's very similar but I prefer it over Nova (I also paid for the "Pro" upgrade - well worth the money in my opinion). Lately I've switched to Action Launcher Pro, it's a different setup then "stock", Nova, Apex, etc. Action Launcher has a free version as well, but again, it's worth paying for the "pro" unlock.

And while I've usually prefered the "pure stock" Jelly Bean icons, I've also been really liking the "Up Icon pack" for the last few weeks as well.

Hope this info helps!

Thanks dancing-bass.

I usually don't modify the phones look and feel, but this version of TouchWiz provided by my carrier is so bad that made me look for alternatives. I'll give Apex a try and I also saw a launcher like it's 7 that I'm thinking of trying out.

How was your experience with Apex? I was thinking of installing it too:)

Apex and Action Launcher are my favorites. I happily paid for the "pro" version of both, which is a separate app that unlocks all the features. Certainly worth trying the free versions of both. If you like apex, also try nova. Its very similar but there are some slight differences.

I didn't install Apex in the end, I've been asking around and reading forums saying the Apex is a resource hog, so I decided to stick with Nova for the time being.
