Nice to see the Honor get some praise, but this I think is pretty inaccurate.

"If you're looking for last year's flagship performance at an affordable price point, the Honor 8 is an impressive little package."

From what I have researched the Kirin 950 outperforms the snapdragon 820 on cpu tasks and the snapdragon outperforms in the gpu area. In the real world I find the phone buttery smooth especially compared to SD808 and 810 devices from last year.

I disagree with "last years performance". The Honor 8 benchmarks higher than SD820 phones in processing speeds.

I'm a little annoyed with the whole "$400 phones are are trying so hard to be good, it's so cute!" crap from phone sites lately. Phones in this price range have been sporting flagship specs at least since the Nexus 4, four years ago.

It isn't "as good as last years phones", it's as good as this years phones. Just because they aren't charging an arm and a leg doesn't mean it's not as good.

Was that article rewritten to include the honor?

"Ooops" I'm thinking of the one about "the best 5.2 inch phones"
It's okay, I wonder how they came up with some of these lists, even though I agree with their lists to an extent.

Glad to see the Honor 8 there (I mean the linked list) too.

Theres no doubt that the Honor 8 is giving you incredible value for money. It seems this $399 price going is becoming a really competitive market and challenging the high end $600+ devices

The market has gotten a lot more competitive for sure.I just picked up a Verizon Moto z play for $208 with coupon, and it is pretty hard for me to say that the note 7 is worth 3-4x as much.
