I am new to the rooting and custom ROM scene. I am currently running the Codename 1.1.1 with the Franco 14.1 kernel. I know their is updated versions of Codename but I am hesitant to install because I don't want to have to go through the setup of all my apps and rebuild my home screens. I have Titanium backup free version and I know I can go in there and do a backup of all user apps + system data but what I am looking for is an app that will save my different screen layouts and put them back the way they were without having to do it all manually. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bryan

There isn't an app to do that. As far as I know. If there is. Let me in on that! All you can do is screenshot each screen and just place everything where it was.

OK first back up using cwr when you wipe for a fresh feeling do a advance restore in cwr that will restore screen Widgets and apps. If u have a non stock launcher like adw nova or launcher pro u can back up screens but Widgets will not restore. I can also use titanium back to restore your phone but only do apps and as long as your launcher wasn't in system apps it will restore minis Widgets. That is a android thing.

my backup pro app does that. make a nand first in case they dont play nice on the new rom.

Install and use the Nova launcher. Everybody loves it, it runs great on the GN and will restore your screens after you wipe the phone.
