Android Central Question

I've had a stretch of horrible luck with breaking phones in the last year. I'm now on the 5th phone in less than 1 year, & I'm sick of losing media, app data, etc. I have a HDD on my router with backups, but have been doing it manually, & my busy schedule often prevents me from doing it as often & regularly as I would like to. I've done some research & reading on different apps, but have yet to find 1 that I believe is what I really want. I just know there's something out there, so I'm looking for advice from people whom I can be sure know what they're talking about - so, here I am.

My biggest concern is media. I want to be sure my pictures, videos, & music are regularly backed up. Pictures & videos of my kids & family are priceless to me, & I've already spent tons of money fixing broken phones in order to retrieve those that I had yet to back up. Also, it would be nice to know my recently added music is safely stored if I ruin another phone.

My next concern is app data. In the event of replacing a phone, it's such a pain going through downloading all my apps & getting all of the settings tweaked the way I had them. It would be so nice to be able to just load all of my commonly used apps with all of my preferred settings already in place.

What I really want is something that can handle both of these tasks, preferably every night. I also want to be able to manually name/arrange/organize folders as I wish, & have the auto backup roll with that. I'd even be willing to settle for 2 different apps, 1 for media, & 1 for apps, so long as they have the features I'm looking for.

Any insight/advice/recommendations from anyone who has experience with this sort of thing is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
