Tried the business card feature in contacts - it generally sucks. So what is everyone's favorite business card App & why?

I tried CamCard but out of 5 cards it didn't read any correctly. Tried a couple of others & have come to the conclusion that none of them is ready for prime time. I understand OCR isn't perfect, especially with the variety of card formats, but it has to be better than what I experienced. I can't believe that some of these programs actually want you to pay $15 for them. I have no issues paying for an App, but it has to actually do the most important part - capture the info correctly.

I might as well just take a picture of the card into Evernote and be happy. I didn't feel that CamCard was any better than the business card feature in the contacts. as far as reading the card correctly. All that being said, thanks for trying to help. I am still searching.

I used to have an app on my iphone called card munch and it was powered by linked in.

You would take a picture and it would actually be sent to linked in where a person would create a vcard and send it back through the app. Was flawless every time but took a day or two. Haven't found as good of solution on android yet.

It's not an app, but if your phone has NFC you can program a business card tag (a sticker that attaches to the back of your existing business cards) that will transfer your contact info when tapped by a client's phone. All they have to do is have NFC turned, "on" in their phone and unlock the screen. For more info, check out Thumbtag.

I've been using Card to Contact and have been really happy with it. I didn't need a whole lot of bells and whistles though. I just needed to be able to scan the card, add it to my contacts and categorize the cards I scanned. It works well. The only time it has trouble is for cards with really fancy fonts. It does the job for me.

I use the 'default card scanner' in Note 3. Go to Contacts> tap '+' sign> tap business card with camera icon on the top> take picture...done
