This is NOT TRUE!! While it has been posted in Many Places....I spoke with Best Buy this Morning. The Rep told me that "it was a Mistake....and that NO Orders would be honored at the 99.00 Price".


The Tablet is still a Bargain at 299.00....though I was going to pick up "several" at the 99.00 Mistake Price.

No Harm, No Foul.....It was reported on the Front Page of Android Central to be the case as well. Best Buy was on it pretty quick and was ready for my call before they even opened here, with a "No Nonsense" response. The Rep was kind and laughing.....and well aware of the Mistake already.

I was excited for a few minutes though....D

Local Best Buy said it was a mistake too, they had them in stock. Best Buy tends to make pricing mistakes a lot.

if anyone is in any airports today check if there are any best buy "vending machines" there.
I just bought a flyer for 100 bucks from one of them.
Not sure how fast best buy updates the price on those.

No, the price dropped from $499.00 to $299.00 which I think is a pretty good price. I tried one at $499.00 and loved the tab but not the price, so I took it back. I was standing outside the day they went on sale for $299.00 and don't regret it for a second.

You won't regret spending $299.00 on it...I did at $499.00, but bought one when it dropped to $299.00. You WILL regret it if it drops to $99.00 in 31 days though...So will I

Now all you need to do is root them so you can run clockwork and titanium...ROM's may come out eventually...I'm not going to do Honeycomb on mine unless there is a Sense overlay. I had HC on a SGT 10 and it flat sucked.

On a side note, I thought my first Flyer had Froyo (2.2) on it...This one is 2.3.3 GB. Did they do an OTA for everyone else? I never read anything that said they did.

I think you may be mis-remembering. The Flyer has always had 2.3.3. The only OTA we got was to enable the OnLive Player app, and I don't think that affected the Android version number at all.

Yea, I might be confusing it with another gadget...I just thought it was 2.2. Regardless, I like it. I know how HC is, and I'm not going to update to it without some serious help, ala Sense, and only after every bug is worked out of it or a fix offered.

How do you know this? I highly doubt this is true. A person signed a credit slip for a charge of $99.99 plus tax. Best buy can't just change the charge without a signature. That's illegal.
