Just heard from a good friend that had pre-ordered 2 Droid X phones and were told they were # 12 & 13. They got there call today and the store only received 5 total phones.

Needless to say they are pissed off.

Anyone else have a bad experience with BB?

***UPDATE***
They found a VZW store with 2 left and held them long enough for them to show up and buy them. They had a rather rollercoaster ride with the Droid X today. I am happy for my x-iPhone & AT&T friends for moving to VZW and the Droid X.

My experience was fine because I was #1 on the list. When I was picking up mine this morning, I asked the manager how many they got in and she said only 2. There were only 3 preorders but that #3 on the list was probably feeling pretty confident, only to find out later today that he/she won't be getting one today.

I also asked when they were getting more and she said she had no idea.

I had the exact same experience today. I was number twelve on the list at my store and I get a call saying ttery are only going to get give devices. Long story short, I canceled my preorder and bought the phone at the verizon store.

Damn best buy

i haven't canceled my preorder @ best buy yet. but i went to walmart and bought it at a better price than Verizon and BB had to offer-

Don't blame BB on this one. Many verizon stores only got a handful, heck the verizon store I went to only received 3 DXs. I was lucky enough to be number 3.

I can't say that this is BestBuy's fault as they'd rather sell you something then nothing.

tru but im bout to pay $699 @ BB...

They would rather sell you one with a plan. Without a plan is almost worthless. Its easier to deal with BB and other sales people once you understand that no matter what your buying and how much you spending, $100 or $15k, that one person's $100 isn't always worth the same amount as another person's $100.
