Best Buy Pre-order I Am Furious

I placed a pre-order for the note 8 before I left the country on vacation and confirmed twice that they would hold it for me and honor the deals. First the man who I placed the pre-order with and then some ****** I spoke to on the phone with when I got a confirmation my phone was in. I called from Canada and he was a **** a out verifying they would hold it and he confirmed they would. They said they would hold it for 15 days. Well... I just got back into the country and got an email on the 21st apparently that my order was cancelled. Any chance when I go in there tomorrow they will be able to honor it? The credit from verizon, the wireless pad and the SD card? I already have a case and screen protector that was in my mail from Amazon. BTW I was on a cruise without internet so I had no way to check my email while I was gone.

It's doubtful you will be able to redeem your promotional items unless you have a screen shot or record attached to your account of this conversation you had... I only say this because the giveaways are from Samsung, not Verizon. I had a hell of a time last year convincing the elevations department at Samsung to give me a VR I was promised...

Yup just got the note. They would not honor the $150 that was advertised when I pre-ordered. The guy had the nerve to say that the person that helped me pre-order didn't know what he was talking about and has been moved to another location.

And you still got the phone thru best buy. I would have went somewhere else after that.

Write to the powers that be at the top at Best Buy and explain your situation and ask for the what you were promised. Just be factual and point out you are a good customer. Carbon copy to Samsung too.

They are trying to help get the free wireless pad and SD card for me since that passed too. Tonight was a bad night for me with this new phone. So I'm out the $150 discount from them and most likely the free items too. Debating on keeping it or not. Who knows if I'll get the $480 for my s7 edge from Verizon now.

Problem is, Best Buy shouldn't have told you they would honor the details, the $150 is the only deal they had.

The $480 trade is a Verizon deal, and the freebies are a Samsung deal. Best Buy has no authority or control over them.

I would just return it and write best buy a letter. There will no doubt be another sale between now and black Friday weekend if you can wait. Best buy and places like sams or Costco tend to run random weekly specials on phones. So if just check back every week till they had one. I feel for you if be super pissed.
