Best Buy Pre-order Question

I have pre ordered my Bolt from BB. I called a rep today and asked if I was guaranteed to have one waiting for me at the store and the rep said yes. So I asked even if I do not come first thing in the morning you are guaranteeing me that the phone will not be sold out and I will def have one no matter what time I come in and she said yes.

Does anyone (any BB reps on here???) know the procedure of how they are handling inventory. For example, if they have inventory of 100 and 50 people preordered, does that mean they will hold 50 aside and only sell 50 to those who walk in w/o a preorder? I would rather not go to BB first thing in the morning as my work schedule is hectic and go at lunch...but I don't want to miss this phone tomorrow!! Please advise...

From what I heard at my local Best Buy, they have to set aside the # of preorders they received. So if they got 20 preorders and 24 Thunderbolts. They can only sell 4 Thunderbolts to people without preorders. Also if you work for BestBuy, all the preorders must be filled before you can get yours.

As I understand it BB employees are not to sell any units that are set aside for pre-order. You should be fine.

Edit** OOPS Aisforauston beat me to it.

I was told they will hold it for at least a few weeks. He was comparing it to other preorders of various items.

Just contacted my local Best Buy and asked a bunch of questions. From what they told me, they only have the exact number of pre-orders in stock per each store: if you pre-ordered your fine, no pre-order means no phone for you since their stock is only for the pre-orders.

If you don't have a pre-order, you can still "pre-order" a phone before they raise the price on sunday by $50. Also, they are only selling it with a 2 year contract.

In short, I will be spending my money at Verizon tomorrow morning.
