Looking at getting an S8 or S8+

Verizon website mentioned that buying an s8 you can upgrade in 12 months or after 50 percent is paid off.

Best buy website doesn't mention that. The question I have is can you still buy from Best buy and still be able to upgrade when 50 percent is is paid off

You should be able to. Bestbuy links to your Verizon account. You could talk with Verizon chat / call to be sure.

Yep. Walked into a Best buy last Friday and ordered it through them. Very pleasant experience and told them from now on I would order from them. They had direct access to my account and told me I would be able to do the annual upgrade.

Yeah, that's what my plan is too. Probably pay off half and upgrade to the Note 8, will grab it from Best Buy.
