AC Question

My wife and I currently have Samsung Galaxy S5 phones. These phones only have 16GB of data (mine is currently at 15.52GB used). We had assumed we could use the SD cards more but this isn't the case. Anyway, while we like the phones overall we are having issues with battery life, slowness and poor pictures. We have been eligible for an upgrade for months but I can't see adding $65 to $70 a month to upgrade to an iPhone 6 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S8+.

I'm wondering if there are any good smartphones that are more moderately priced that would be an improvement. I understand that none of there phones will compare iPhone 6 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S8+ but would like something significantly better than what we have. Here's what we're looking for in a new phone (in order of importance):

1) Faster and more responsive than what our current S5s are.
2) Better battery life
3) Better camera
4) Durable
5) Bigger screen (the S5 has a 5" screen)

We currently have Verizon and have been happy with the service. Ideally I'd like to buy the phones outright and not increase our monthly bill (if that's possible). Basically we don't need the newest or best phone, just something better than what we have. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! The Moto line is still an excellent value, whether it's the Z or G series. The Z Play starts at around $400, while the G5 Plus starts at $230.
