Can anyone unveil the best extended battery for the Droid X? I've read quite a few threads on some other phones and their extended battery choices, but none for the X. Forgive me, If I overlooked a thread discussing this topic.

The stock battery imho, is just ok.

Thanks ahead of time -

Good question! Personally, I am going to wait to see what the 2800mAh battery from Seidio that is still under development looks like. I hope that it will make sit flush with the camera hump on the back of the X and makes it more of a flat surface with a slightly thinner body where the speaker & mic are on the back. That would be killer.

Personally, I just can't see myself buying any of the extended batteries available now because I don't see them as a big enough increase in power to justify the purchase. I don't have any gripe w/ my OEM battery & can get >24hrs w/ moderate usage from a charge now, but I would love to get ~48hrs!

Go with the motorola extended battery. You get 20-30% better life at only adding 1mm to the back.

I'm extremely satisfied with motorolas extended battery. I've never bought an extended battery with any other phone so I want sure what to expect but I work 13hr shifts so I find myself playing games, watching movies, you tubing, and surfing the web ALOT now! And tho I do plug or in when I get home in the morning regardless, I have never had any other phone that would last through the whole shift....the droid now has.about 25% left when I get home

I opted for the Moto Extd battery, same door, bump in backup and it works for me. The 3rd party batteries just add too much bulk , weight and take away from the design, for me anyways.

Same here. Get the Moto.Extended Battery. Works great, about 20% increase in battery life with no added bulk.

I was able to use my standard battery door with the extended battery. It clicked into place like normal without the thickness. Are there any known issues doing this? Thanks in advance

I've got both the Seidio and the Verizon. They both work great, better than the standard, but the Verizon one has about 100 ma more, so it last a bit longer. No real shocker there.
