I'm looking for a good horizontal case for my Epic, so that I don't have to keep stuffing it into my jeans pocket. There are a few available on Amazon, but the common theme seems to be that the Epic is a tight fit in most of them. I'm also using the snap-on plastic case from Sprint, so that adds a little bit more bulk to the package.

Have any of you had any luck finding a horizontal case for a skinned Epic? Worst case (pun intended) I'll try using a small camera case.

I picked up a cheap one from WalMart. Well padded, magnetinc latch, sturdy belt loop. I am not a big WalMart fan, but that was a no brainer.

I got this one off ebay when I had the EVO. It works great with the Epic and even fits with the Sprint hard case on the Epic...after a little stretching.

Eddie Bauer Leather Case

Eddie Bauer Leather Case - Part # - EBUDY55-BLK - $12 - $30

I purchased this case at best buy mobile but you can get it on ebay and amazon pretty cheap.

It will fit the epic perfect with or with out a case, the clip is full locking rotation so you can have it Mounted horizontally or vertically.

Magnetic flap.

The belt Clip is STRONG and I mean STRONG.

Here are a couple pictures.

I went to Best Buy to try that Eddie Bauer case. The flap does not close properly with the Epic. Didn't like it at all.

I took a look at the Eddie Bauer case at Best Buy as well -- it did not fit the Epic + Sprint cover combo. I also looked at the Rocketfish case ("fits up to 4.3" screens") and an HTC case (presumably made for the EVO).

I ended up buying a cheap $19.99 leather case from one of the mall kiosks. This one fits the "naked" Epic quite well, and the phone ALMOST fits with the Sprint case attached. For now, I guess I'll just have to either carry it inside the leather case, or in my pocket with the Sprint case.

watch out for hard cases. We have reports that say the slider got much more wobbly after removing the case.

I honestly think my hard case for my Pre really exacerbated my "oreo" effect. I like the leather cases though. Ill try mine (just picked it up - Sprint Store) and keep an eye on it big time and post if it starts to wobble.

I got the Sprint Case when I got my Epic just over 2 weeks ago, put it on and decided I didn't like the feel/size of it. Took it off and where I had absolutely no play in my slider before, I now I have a little bit. I had the same issue with my Pre. It's why I want a one piece case.

Thanks for the heads up. I pick up the phone itself tomorrow and maybe returning the case too.

Why not just use the innocase holster from seidio? Much easier to access. Having a case on the epic and then throwing it in a bulky leather case just seems to be overkill.

Here are the pictures I promised

Hi...which case is this one? Sorry if I'm missing it :)

Current Palm Pre (fed up) owner just about to pull the trigger and leave Palm forever and go with the Epic 4G! :D
