As the title says, I'm wondering what the best kernel would be for the custom ROM Codename Android 3.5.0. I flashed it yesterday but I'm a stickler for battery life so I'm looking to improve it.

I was using glados in 3.4.1. But I'm still new to the android scene, so I'll be interested to see what others say here.

I've always liked Franco's stuff. You can under- or over-clock. On my Gnex (with AOKP ROM) I can run at 1600+MHz, or under 700Mhz or anywhere in between.

Sleep drop down to 250MHz (from stock 350). I've run mine at 750ish MHz for a day and as long as you're not doing anything heavy it runs fine. (Basic social apps like Facebook/Twitter/GooglePlus seem to work ok). Of course if you're into gaming you won't want to run things that slow. Of course you can adjust the voltage to match the speed to get even better savings.

Hmm, I'm thinking of flashing Franco kernel and then moving on from there. I'm seeing a Milestone 5 kernel on the fraco.Kernel updater app though, I've been looking around but I was just wondering if anyone here would be able to explain what it is exactly.
