I've never liked the Gear family, especially because it's not Android Wear, but their current iterations aren't as bad. Still like my 1st gen Moto360 and the 2nd gen one isn't that much of an upgrade (it is thinner, so that's a plus). I think for your question I'd go with a Moto, Huaweii's, or the soon-to-come rugged Casio.
