Best music players Apps?

I second Power Amp. Once you get used to it and tweak to your liking, it's hard to beat.

+2 i use poweramp and i can say music sounds pretty good , no issues i would recommend to everyone

Curious as to why folks need a different music player vs. stock one or Google one.?

I mean when I first got my S3 I tried two or three different ones becuase people kept saying how "amazing" they were...I just found most to be too cumbersome and it got annoying after a while so I deleted them and stayed with stock and Google. Both of which sound fine, organize things well, and play well with my cars BT radio.

So what's the big appeal??

PlayerPro for me. Good sound shaping options, good organization, plenty of skins, no bugs that I've seen.

I had alot of stuff on i-tunes and wanted to use the native music application for gestures, S voice, etc... I found i-sncr to be incredibly helpfull in this regard.
However, all of the above suggestions are great alternatives.
-good luck

Power amp all the way. It supports almost all format.

If you have good speakers or headphones, listen to the same song with PowerAmp and with Stock...big difference as PowerAmp is way better sounding
Also is organized better, looks better, and has well working equalizer...as well as different themes and widgets

"Player PRO" gets my vote!

Personally, I am extremely reluctant to pay for any app. I typically find a free one that does the job for me. I must say, this is one of those apps I'd actually pay for. (Though, I wish it were cheaper :-$)

Many widget choices and skin-able (most are free, I like the "Cloudy" skin).

I love GoneMad. It has crossfading, it handles Album Artists correctly so a compilation album is shown just once not multiple times like some apps. You can touch on a trackname and choose "Play next", there is a 14 day trial as well. My most used app. Give it a try you'll love it

I've gone through a few myself the last few days. I've tried cubed, poweramp & the stock app. What I wanted was: multiformats (I have a lot of FLAC files), album art, free & gapless playback. I ended up with VLC, which I have used on my PC for years. Poweramp was good, but not free.Google play isn't bad either

The stock player is too short in features. As for me, I used different players for different purposes.
For music CityGlo and PowerAmp are good.
For Podcastas and Audiobooks is Astro Player the best.
