Looking at buying a unlocked s8/s9. Possibly a used-like new on amazon or new on eBay. I see SquareTrade has a monthly plan or if EBay/amazon they have the yearly still.

If I buy used or refurb on eBay or anazon, does it still qualify for Samsung protection plan or do I need original new receipt? Also used my Wells Fargo credit card that offers some benefits as well.

Biggest worry is hardware or I have 2 little kids who already threw 1 phone (iPhone lol) in a toilet. Lol

Samsung protection plan

Samsung Premium Care terms have this -
To be an “Eligible Product” under these Terms, a product must be a U.S. product that is covered by the Standard Limited Warranty offered by Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (and not any other Samsung affiliate); must be enrolled in Premium Care simultaneously at the time and point of purchase; and must be purchased from Samsung.com

Here's the link for that - https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ium-care%2Fterms-of-service%2F&token=A3Ih0baZ

Wells Fargo credit card

Check the terms, most cards offer extended warranty only on NEW items.

Thanks looks like they changed the Samsung policy. Most likely will go through carrier and cover for a few months I guess.

Safeware used to be pretty good but I think their prices jumped when everyone else's jumped

Get an S8 from Straight Talk for $300 if you live in the US. I have recommended that a million times on this forum. Best deal ever for what is still a very powerful device.
