Best Phone of 2014??

I've been reading people posting that the new Moto X has been called phone of the year by many trusted reviewers. The sites I've been to either say it's one of the iPhone 6's, Z3, or Note 4. Where are you seeing that it's the Moto X?? I know The Verge said the X was the best Android out. That's the only source I've seen though.

It seems like the only "weakness" of the X is the battery. Camera isn't a big problem for me. I have a dedicated camera for that. I need a phone with at least 5-6 hours of SoT. I've seen more people with less, and a few with about 5 or so. Makes me wonder how they get that on the X.

Yeah MKBHD said in his review he was only and to get 2.5 hours of SoT. I'm guessing reviewers are saying it's the best all around Android phone. Every phone has a flaw to some degree. But a poor battery is a huge flaw for me.

Screen time is not a drag for me. I'd day I'm a medium/heavy user and the battery has never left me stranded. I usually go 24 he's between charges. So there is some sleep time involved there. Screen brightness set to auto. For me, this phone is a contender because it has a good size. Camera takes great shots once learned. Not perfect in the dark but still pretty damn good.

Then I'd say I'm a heavy user. 2 hour commute has my screen on browsing Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. While also streaming music (since I don't have an SD card, G2). So to work and back that's 4 hours of screen on time. Plus calling my wife on my lunch break. And if I go out in the evening. Which has me looking at the Z3 (it's only a little bit taller than my G2) because of the great battery life. Or the Note 4 because of the replaceable battery.

The best? We will have to let others pan out before we can truly justify that statement. It is definitely one of the best.

Mainstream reviewers labeled it the best. Places like Forbes, CNN, etc. I think BGR said it was the best *android* phone...because they were saving highest praise for the iPhone.

But don't worry about that. It's a great phone. The end. Best is in the eye of the beholder.
