best rom for 2.2.2 OG Droid

went back to my android roots and got an og droid.....i plan on rooting it tonight but need help with finding a good stable stock android rom.....im leaning towards peter alfonsos 2.3.5 but am open to suggestions on what roms are best....any suggestions or insight would be great
