i use the S25 Ultra day to day here in the US. i need to travel internationally to visit family member who is very ill about 2-3 times a year.
there are all these articles that suggest leaving your phone at home and buying a phone for traveling. considering that i use an S25 Ultra and have used Sxx Ultras for many years now, it seems simpler to get at least a Samsung phone to reduce the learning curve.
as i'm accustomed to the S25 Ultra, it's hard to go way down to a low end phone. plus, i need a larger display size due to my eyesight. with that in mind, what might be a smart model of Samsung to get just to use when traveling please? large screen size, current anti-malware/virus technology and firmware version, more modest pricing compared with the S25 Ultra that i use day to day, and an UNLOCKED version are the main points that seem important to me, plus of course it has to be able to use many frequencies including those used in the foreign country.
i thought about either the S25+ or the S24FE. then i read about all the issues of them trying to roll out the new Android update to the S24 series.
the S25+ UNLOCKED is around $1000. the S24FE UNLOCKED is around $560.
i plan to try to keep this phone for ~2-3 years, if their updates are still solid and will protect against various malware/viruses. i plan to visit that country 2-3 times per year, each time around 2-3 weeks.
may i ask for suggestions on which phone might fit my needs most please?
