Best Space apps/widgets/themes for Nexus 7 2013?

Just switched over to Android after being on ios since 2007. Apple has gotten too stale and I love the choice of android.

I love space, like, I adore it. I'm an amateur stargazer. What are some apps that will allow my Nexus 7 to look out of this world?

I've already seen Galaxy Live wallpapers, how much do those eat the battery up? What about some widgets or customization options that will allow my device to feel like it's 200 years ahead?

I don't know where to put this, but it's also a question about the new Nexus 7. I got my first 2013 (after giving the grandkids my 2012 and buying them last year for the other older grandkids) at Gamestop just before it was supposed to come out. Happy day!! Then realized I had the touch screen problem so I took it back and they nicely gave me a new one. Well, it is the JSS15J version. Should I worry? Should I return it and HOPE I get the right build? Do you think nexus will put out an OTA update to fix it all? This one really doesn't seem as UN-touchy as the last one and I LOVE it and sort of really trust nexus. it seems to only not respond to the lower left side when touching the screen. I like it so much I would be willing to keep it even if I have this problem for the LONG life of this tablet! Any ideas about what to do? Do you think Nexus will continue to keep us all happy?
