Best way to move from a G4 to G4 Plus quickly?

I used the Android backup to Google Drive when moving to the G4 from a destroyed Moto X. It took FOREVER for the apps to be installed on the new phone from the backup. I am now getting a G4 Plus and wonder if there is a better and quicker way to move all my apps, etc.

I think there is a way via the Google settings app but I'm not sure. I'm probably too late anyway.

Not much difference really, in fact, all features considered the regular G⁴ is the better deal as far as price/features. 149-199 is a steal. If having a fingerprint scanner and a slightly better camera is your thing, the G⁴ Plus is worth shelling out a little bit more for but then you're into a price range where there are other nice brand options. But as far as processing and display, they're both the same. If you get the 4gb ram G⁴ Plus model, you might notice your recent apps staying in the memory longer causing a more snappy (less reloading) experience.
