Better battery life on 4g only vs wifi

I have been having better battery life on 4g only by disabling wifi. Any thoughts? Does wifi consume more juice?

Wifi uses less juice IF you are getting a strong consistent signal but if you keep loosing and regaining or it is always searching then it wastes a lot of battery.

My advice is do what works better for you

I have also noticed better battery life with 4g over wifi. I get crazy good battery life by turning off 4g and wifi, and using 3g only.
