I was looking for one also. I just loaded and will be trying out the one called: aCalendar - Android Calendar. By Tapir Apps. So far it looks awesome and will let you know if I see any issues as I use it.
Update: My wife likes Jorte also but I haven't tried it yet. Only issue I'm seeing with aCalendar so far is a little lag when opening up the days events and trying to scroll side to side for the different events. I message pops up saying 'copying to clipboard'. Still trying to figure it out. May try Jorte in a bit
Wow, just downloaded aCalendar... really liking it so far, but have not put it through paces yet.
I'm watching it sync.
Fun.
The app opened instantly.
Can't imagine what more will be in the finished version (the designer shows this as beta)
Does it send the alarm via email or via the device notification? I just installed it today and with Google and Jorte, I could choose email notification if that is what I wanted.
I use Business Calendar Pro.
A lot of features, and it's very easy to invite guests to a calendar entry.
I was disappointed in the stock calendar.
I also noticed that the stock calendar would alert me of an appointment, but the event would not be displayed. I would see snooze and dismiss.
I use Agenda Widget+ (paid) - simple, syncs with Google, Facebook, and Touchdown (exchange). It IS just a widget, but it keeps me up to date for the next few days which is all I really need.
Do you see any delay as I described above or any set up suggestions that might be causing it? I do prefer the layout over Jorte and hoping I'm just doing something wrong.
For example, I have an appointment with Joe Jones every Wednesday at 1:00. I search "Jones" and get a list of all those appointments. I tap the one I want to edit and it takes me to that appointment.
Will any of these calendars sync with Outlook using Companionlink or another app?
Have you tried DejaOffice? We (CompanionLink) made it specifically to sync with Outlook via our PC app. We're actually in the process of adding some improvements to the calendar right now, too. Check it out, if you haven't already.
