Better Camera Software

Is there a better camera software for the Nexus that will still do pano shots as well as 1080p recording? Every shot Ive tried to take indoors even after manually focusing is still kinda blurry. Im sure it has nothing to do with it being only a 5MP camera as Ive taken nice shots with a 1.3. Still though the shots Ive taken were all indoors and just look very grainy/blurry. Advice?

Same here. 1 out of 5 indoor pics are good and thats if I don't move a hair. Move the slightest bit and you got blur. It should be able to be addressed via software update if its on their list. To answer your question, no. The software on the phone needs to be corrected for the camera to take better pics. You can always try a camera app on the market to edit your photos after they have been take.

I agree completely on the blur, seems so odd because I thought this instant shutter thing meant very fast shutter speeds reducing the blur, guess it still needs to stay open longer indoors to get enough light. I think the camera is the one thing I am disappointed in and am not sure if they can fix it with software only. So odd they didn't just use the camera sensors from the gs2s

Google has stated they didn't use other sensors because this sensor was the best overall quality in real world situations that allowed for the instant picture taking aka zero shutter lag.

I'd also like to see a 16:9 option for stills. Most cameras have that. I too can't seem to take indoor shots that are even remotely sharp.

4.0.3 might help with some of the blur.

MediaMetadataRetriever adds the new constant METADATA_KEY_LOCATION to let apps access retrieve location information for an image or video.

CamcorderProfile adds the QVGA (320x240) resolution profiles. Quality level is represented by the QUALITY_QVGA.and QUALITY_TIME_LAPSE_QVGA constants.

New methods setVideoStabilization(), setVideoStabilization(), and isVideoStabilizationSupported() let you check and manage video stabilization for a Camera.

This is my biggest issue with the GN since the camera feature is very important to me.What kills me is that even when the subject looks sharp onsceen the pic STILL comes out blurry :( .I'm not sure if this is the camera sensor's limitation or a camera software issue that can be fixed with updates.
