Hi!

Has any one else noticed better signal with the v10 vs your last phone? I had the Lg Nexus 5 and the Lg G3 before and noticed last night that I had signal with the V10 in a location that I'd never had service before.

Any one else?

Edit: I'm on T-mobile.

Interesting, because I had the G3 on Verizon and my signal is worse on the V10.

All I noticed at the Verizon store was that it had a stronger signal than Droid T2 and my Moto X (i put it next to it to check) by 4dB. Moto usually holds it longer and stronger especially in low signal areas, but this time LG might have nailed it with the dual antennas.

What carrier are you on? I hope this is true, signal on my G3 is average at best

I'm on T-Mobile with all the caveats that entails. I'm in Washington DC, and I usually get good service here, but my service inside buildings can be pretty iffy. There are a few more places I'm going to try out today. I'll update my post if I get more information.

How are you checking the signal strentgth?

I feel like I get better signal too. I had a G3 and I'm on T-Mobile

I am on TMo too and I have to say my signal strength seems about the same. In regards to Tmo and signal strength there are actually multiple variable at work.

1. New phone whose user experience in regards to reception capabilities seem to vary. With a larger phone you could theorize that signal strength should be better because you have more "space" for antennas. Also the V10 has band 12 which could have an impact.

2. Speaking of band 12, another variable. If band 12 has been "lit up" in you area, that would have a major impact on your perception of signal strength, especially indoors. Also, especially if you are coming from a device that does not have band 12 support and band 12 has been "lit up" in your area. For me, no band 12 love in my region yet.

3. TMo has really been building out their network, converting older towers to LTE. Again, depending on where you live, the density of TMo towers may have increased leading to the perception of better signal strength.

I think when we get new phones, we pay more attention to things like signal strength so I'm not surprised by the discussion. For TMo subscribers though, I think we have to be careful in terms of giving too much credit to the phone. There are just too many things in motion within TMo's network.

Thanks for that reply! I'm going to have to find out if it's Band 12, but this phone so far has had better connectivity in places that I frequent (at work and at home). If it's because it can receive a different band than my previous phones, then that's GREAT. If it's because T-mobile added towers, that's great too.

I had a note 4. The v10 works on my sling box from work where they note would not. T Mobile.

I think it has to go back...got past the freezing up.... Lag has kinda resolved... Music sound phenomenal on everything... Wow! Screen is really nice... But speaker volume bites ****! And signal is really just not as good as my m8 or note 4 or nexus6. People constantly say hello... Hello... U there... Like phone goes mute. Then 5 seconds later good again but just one tiny bar. I have been fortunate enough to use T-Mobile with out a hitch for 3 years.... Can someone help me keep this phone? Performance update anywhere.... I really like this phone for so many reasons... But it is flawed at the moment.... Real life issues

I'm not on T-Mo but I haven't heard of any signal strength problems in general with the V10. If you really like the V10 I would try another unit before giving up. It may be a flawed receiver in the handset that you have now.
