I recently switched from a Blackberry Pearl to the Samsung Galaxy S 4G. On the Backberry, you turn on your bluetooth, say who you want to dial and it repeats back the name. You say yes or no, if no it goes to the next choice (out of 3) otherwise it dials the person (it that person has more than 1 number listed i.e. cell, home, work, etc., it askes which one). This works about 2/3's of the time. The other 1/3 you get nonsence or the wrong person, but it was very simple to use. The dialer on the Galaxy is CRAP. First you have to say "voice commands" before each call and then tell it who want to call. There is no readback, it either dials the number you want (rarely) or a wrong number or you have choices on the phone screen to press or it just cancels. I have tried some others with mixed results, but it seems that you always have to say "voice commands" before each call. I have also tried Vlingo with mixed results. When you start it seems that it always defaults back to the stock voice dialer. I have to start the app. by touching it on the phone, not exactly handsfree. Is there a simple voice dialer that starts up when you turn your bluetooth on and gives you a readback of what it thought you said. I don't need it to read back messages or other things, just dial the correct numbers. Something similar to the Blackberry version.
