Just a tip for folks who, like me, may never have heard of this app. Samsung publishes, in the Google Play Store, an app called SoundAssistant (link below). It does some neat things like let you set individual app volumes and set your volume keys to change media volume instead of ring volume.
To me, the best feature is it allows you to increase the steps of increasing media volume. I have found that my earbuds jump from just a bit too low to a bit too high when I am listening to many songs for working out. This setting allows you to increase the volume steps from the default (I think 15 steps?) to up to a whopping 150. The numbers don't make much sense on that setting because on default they are set to 10 which is the max. Every notch you go *down* on that bar (so from 10 to 9) actually adds more fine steps to the volume. Counter intuitive. I stumbled across an article on Sammobile explaining this but can't find it now.
Anyway, I can now get just the right volume. Can't believe Samsung doesn't have this as a default app because it is actually useful, compared to some of the other crap that comes with their phones that you can't uninstall.
