Sorry if i should not have created a new thread for this, but for those using the Free Wireless Tethering app, this maybe important.
So after I started using it myself, I noticed my battery life had become absolutely horrible.
Basically it runs in the background, and even a task manager/killer won't turn it off, and it will drain your battery life. Even after a restart, the service runs automatically without launching the app. So you need to open up the app and press "stop tethering" after each restart. You also need to do this if you are done using tethering, you can not simply close the app using a task manager/killer.
So check yours right now.. open up "Wireless Tethering" and you will notice the service might be running, even if you didn't manually start it.
After figuring this out my batter life has improved drastically.
I hope this will help others who were not aware of this, and maybe be suffering from horrible battery life due to it.
