Big Problem! (I'm Stupid) Loading Problem!

I was going to flash a new rom to my Captivate. So, I figured, why not just format everything and then install it (stupid...). So I did just that. I have CWM Recovery and formatted all the folder. Now, my phone cannot load. It is stuck at the screen that says "Galaxy S GT-I9000 Samsung". The four buttons at the bottom don't light up, I can only use the 2 volume buttons and the power button to restart the phone. I cannot seem to get it into download mode or recovery mode. Help! Please!!! I have some very important text messages I need to receive and send!

How can I fix this?

I feel even more stupid. After spending much of today trying to get my phone into download mode, I finally have. It is working at least for now. I would request that this thread be closed. Or do I have to request /close or something. IDK

Glad you got it working again. If you are using the Android app, Just click on your name of you original post and touch "more". Then there should be an option to report it. Just type in "problem solved, please close thread".

What ROM have you decided to go with?
