I'm starting to get upset at the battery power this phone has. I was hoping 2.2 would fix the issue of the battery not charging to a full 100% but so far they haven't. I was thinking in order to increase battery life on my Droid Incredible, I would either invest in a more powerful battery or get an external charger for the stock battery I already own. My question is, what do you guys believe to be the better choices? If you think a more powerful battery is the better choice, then what kind of battery? If its the charger, then what kind of charger?

Thanks for all your guys help.

That would depend on if you like the slim form factor of the phone or just want more juice. I tried all of the extended batteries and did not like the extra bulk and like a case on my Incredible. So I went with the external battery charger (this one) and am waiting on a 2nd stock battery from a nice forum member that was giving one away. I'll switch it out halfway thru the day and will be in good shape.

I went the external battery charger. Look on eBay. I got 2 extra batteries and a charger for 10 bucks

I got bought an extended 2150 battery. I listen to podcasts and music during the day and I can still go 18 hours. I still have the original battery available now, but I'll never need it. I don't want to have to carry around another battery and I don't mind the extra bulk. Still fits in my pocket with no problem.

Lots of discussion here has covered the issue. Search "Battery" and set aside some reading time. Also, there is a sticky at the beginning of this forum. One thing not clearly covered in most of the discussions is the benefit of an external charger. Personally, I have gotten great results w/ the xt charger and don't have to hassle with the bump charge routine.

Also, a 1750 mAh really isn't going to give you much more than you're getting now so if you don't mind the extra bulk go to the 2150. I have been using the 3500 for about 1 1/2 months now and find it serves my needs + some.

What would best serve your needs is a matter of preferences and usage habits.

+1. One of the reasons I got the Incredible (over the Droid X or Evo) was the slim factor. During the work week I just keep my charger at work and leave the phone plugged as needed so that after work I still have a good charge. The extended batteries just add too much bulk to the size of the phone...at least for my tastes.

I have the Seidio 1750 and the Seidio external charger so one is all ready to go when needed.

Going to close this thread please use the sticky one to discuss further.
