Bigger lock screen clock??

I have the Note 4. It is running 5.0.1 (finally). Overall, I have only two issues with Lollipop.

The clock on the lock screen is itty bitty. And I can't make the camera shutter sound STFU. It's always the little things that make us want to explode.

My "security" is just swipe. I have tested it with PIN. Is there a way to make it bigger? This is just ridiculous. I don't tap my phone on to see my notifications (although I've gotten used to them and found it useful). 95% of the time I tap it on to see the time. Which now I can't see without squinting and certainly can't easily see while driving. Where I mounted the phone in my truck, it covered the clock. So now I have to leave the phone on or turn it on and open it to the home screen. In the image, it looks bigger than it really is.

And yes, I've gone into the Lock Screen settings and yes, it is set to Large. I see screenshots from other phones and theirs are huge. Not fair!

Thats because you have notifications. If you clear those out you'll get the normal large clock.

I finally figured that one out. Just clear the notifications and itll go back to normal size.

Nope. I hit clear, close, tap the home button, and it is still the same size. Some of the "notifications" are ongoing and can't be removed. Like the weather app, etc. So because they are there, I can't see the freakin' clock??!!

It's not the built-in app. It's Wunderground.

There's no app or workaround for this other than somehow disabling all the notifications? Then why keep the clock on the main screen? Oh, right, because all phone users have 20/20 vision all the time AND wear watches. What a load of .....

I know, making a big deal out of nothing but like I said, it's these little things that get me.

Try pulling down notifications and long press weather notification. Press app info and turn off notifications there. See if that helps.

Yes, that worked. I did that for all the apps. Weather, Dragon, battery. And when I tap it, I get the big clock. But that only lasts for as long as there are not notifications. As soon as another one comes in from another app, there goes the clock. Eh, I'll get a watch. I'd rather get bad weather notices and know at a glance that I have Dragon turned on than be able to see the dang clock. I reckon I'm just too lazy! LOL. I'll use the alarm clock which has a big clock.

THANK YOU everyone for your help. If anyone ever finds an app or widget to get around this problem, I'd greatly appreciate knowing about it! Again, thanks!

try widget locker for the lock screen. you can use zooper widgets to make the clock as large as you want.

It's not been updated since 12/2013. Since I am still trying to find a replacement for Juice Defender, I don't want to fall in like with another app only to have it fail due to the dev moving on to something else.

But thanks for the suggestion. I had looked at it earlier but twitched at the update time. That's pre-KitKat I believe.

I did a but DUH and used AutomateIt to make 2 rules. Camera comes on, turn off sound. Camera goes off, sound comes back on. Easy peasy. But I'll look that app up.
