Hello all,

Would be glad for any suggestions to the challenge I describe below.

I have a Samsung S24.

I have run into an issue with a recently downloaded mobile app (Vanguard) that I want to open using biometrics. The app says that "Biometrics have not been enabled on this device. To use biometrics with this app, please enable them in your device's settings."

I previously enrolled two fingerprints and have used biometrics since obtaining the phone last September.

I am not certain where I should look/what else I should change in the phone's settings to further enable the use of biometrics.

Thanks for giving this a look.

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure if this is the same on a Galaxy S24, but on my Pixel 9 Pro XL, I can go to Settings>Security & Privacy>Device Unlock>Face & Fingerprint Unlock, and there's an option there for "Verify it's you in apps" that's separate from "Unlock your phone." Do you have those separate options on your phone?
