I have a 4S now and want to try out a Android. I can get a Bionic for free, would you reccomend it for my first android or will it make me mad lol? Is Jelly Bean the last OS update it will get and therefor soon no longer be supported?

Just went from bionic to Galaxy S4. That being said the bionic still holds its own and served me well for almost 2 years. The bionic was like a fine wine that got better with age with ICS then JB. To me there is no comparison to the 4s. You'll get micro SD a snappy dual core and a bigger screen. It runs smooth over jelly bean.

The bionic is a great step into the world of Android. .. enjoy.

The Bionic is a decent phone, but the display won't be very impressive compared to the 4S. If you are looking to go last generation to keep the price down, I would recommend the Galaxy S3 or RAZR HD.

I've loved my Bionic to this day and would suggest anyone to jump on it as a really good entry phone. Especially for free. It was a high level phone when it came out, unlike normal free entry level phones that are offered by the carrier. True it's not getting more support updates, but I'm still impressed with how powerful this phone is with newer apps.

the bionic has been a great phone, it would serve you well as you dive into android. if price is an issue for you, take a look at the htc droid dna, it's free right now at best buy. i upgraded to this phone last week. it's a great phone and i know i'll be as happy with it as i was with my release day bionic. either way, you won't go wrong.
