No one does. We can speculate but that's about it.

When Motorola and Verizon deem it ready.

Lets see how many more posts we can make about the same topic! Lol O:-)

No kidding! Already on the Motorola forums there are quite a few disgruntled bionic users doing the same.

God willing, soon. The bionic has been a test in patience from its much delayed release to now it receiving ICS. I for one am starting to run out of patience with Motorola's handling of this phone.

I said it on another forum, I'll say it here. Moto has done a GREAT job on the ICS build for Bionic. The holdup now is NOT Moto. It's VZW and their "wonderful" approval process. The D4 build was done (leaked) on July 28. It went soak/OTA on the same day...8/13. It certainly wasn't Moto delaying the release. The same is true for Bionic. Let's HOPE 238 is the OTA. That was leaked on 8/2. If it's NOT the OTA, we're going to be well into September.

This is my second experience with a Motorola android device (first was a Xoom).

I will NEVER buy another Motorola phone, especially after the shakeup that just occurred. The S3 looks very tempting...

They initiated the soak test on the same day they released the OTA? That seems a bit illogical, but ok. Hey, if they do the same thing for the Bionic 4 days later than the D4, I'm in!

It was VERY strange. The soak testers got the email and all of a sudden before they even got the build it was being pushed OTA.

Well, they do get a lot of feedback from those who install the leaks, via these forums and, no doubt, via diagnostic info fed back from Verizon (who no doubt can tell who's installed the leaks). Maybe they are comfortable enough with .238, esp if they've ironed out the Razr / Maxx bugs.

238 is WAY FAR AND ABOVE what they rolled out to the poor RAZR users. Those guys got SCREWED. Broken webtop, broken update installer, etc. If they rolled 238 out I'd be happy.

In terms of sheer numbers of units.. surely the RAZR far outnumbers the Bionic - seems strange that they would pick that one first when it comes to things that may not be ready for prime-time.

Either way, we're hungry for it!!

They were late. RAZR was promised sooner than the Bionic and they had to push it out. Which led to bugs. Bionic they're taking their time. Such is life. :)

More people care about the RAZR. More people have the RAZR. If Motorola wanted to do a small test, they would have probably done the ICS upgrade to the Photon first.

They promised Q2 to begin the rollout for the DROID RAZR and in order to hit it, it had to ship with bugs.
