Bionic to Razor petition!

More than anything is I want a consistant working camera like on my Dx, DX2, and consistant data network. Then I will be a happy Bionic owner. Meanwhile pictures I send for work I take with my X. If I would have known about the Razr and timing would I have waited. No, I have no patience. But what Moto and VZW did with campaigning, ads, and claims with Bionic were in a sense fraudulant. When you have Moto testers running around with a superior device. Still does'nt entitle us to a freebee. But maybe if we sign the petition we can get update fixes before they put out the Razr and we get kicked to the curb waiting on the Razor issues that will bog down both verizon and Motorola. And I can bet the Nexus will join in with issues.
Everytime you call Verizon or Motorola about any phone the answer is never heard of that problem before and no documentation of that problem existing. Not to many will say Im wrong on that one. Been with Verizon over 10 years and using Moto devices since the bag phone . I pay over 500 a month with 7 lines and Im getting tired of being treated like an expendable Idiot.
Rephrase the petition like a scholar and I think it would be worth signing to atleast get someones attention about the important software fixes.

Its not gonna happen. U have 14 days from Verizon to return a phone. Motorola nor Verizon is gonna give anyone the option to exchange phones regardless if you have to pay a difference or not. If.that was the case every time a new phone came out someone would want a different one. Its not like the razr came out 15 days ( one day after Verizon's return date) after the bionic did. Plus razr is not even out yet. But good luck. Maybe I can do the same with my thunderbolt when the nexus comes out.

SSHGuru. I dont think an exchange is required if we can get the more serious software fixes before the Razr comes out. You also have enough people against your thoughts and your trying to push me to agree with them. Maybe they are right in your case.
Anthony2558. Broken record! Everyone knows Verizon policy, and this is not the same as exchanging an HTC for a Samsung either.
What people are expecting or hoping for is an exception to the rule, or VZW rules.I dont see anyone looking for a handout . If you bought it through Amazon or Costco, and even bestbuy if not mistaken you get 45 to 90 days to return. By the time everyone learned of the release those people still have the option to return theirs for a restocking fee. Apple had a similar incident and they took care of their customers. District manager from Radio Shack told me why they pulled Bionic from their shelves was because of all the activation issues, network issues, and returns were costing them. He said by time the updates come the Razr will be out so they may not even put the bionic back out. Seems like a Good enough reason for them to either fix the Bionic or exchange it.
Whats that old saying ( Wish in one hand and ____ in the other hand.)

I've said this in another post, I'm getting tired of Razr talk clogging this section. This thread should be locked. There are people on here who are happy with their Bionics (and not having problems) and want to use this site to get information for their Bionic. If you have a problem with your Bionic, then post up and be specific and maybe some of us on here will be able to help. Instead of just complaining about the phone and saying I deserve a razr. Verizon does have policies in place if you do have legitimate problems, they will take care of you. I call on everybody to please stop this madness...it serves no purpose.

If Verizon would just let Moto unlock the bootloader I would much rather have the Bionic over the RAZR or the Nexus. Bionic and RAZR are practically the same phone and I would prefer a removable battery over better screen. As for the Nexus, yes it will receive updates faster but I have little hope that it wont have radio issues and Samsung doesn't come close to Moto on build quality. It may look pretty but drop it a few times and see how well it holds up.

Sigh, what everyone (including me) has been saying is that we want (or wanted) the ability to choose which phone we wanted, if you think the Bionic is "better" than stick with it, if you like the RAZR better then we should have the ability to exchange our Bionic for it. The reasoning is Moto pulled a dick move and withheld info on a new phone that was most likely already being made in the factory at the time they were selling Bionics. We just wanted a choice and not to be duped.

This is getting pathetic. Reading everyone whine because a better phone came out too soon is SO LAME.

I'm out of this thread.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we get some leaked pics of the Bionic and RAZR together BEFORE the Bionic even came out? The leaks about the "Droid HD" nearly outpaced the Bionic. How could you not have known this was coming? Get a grip, people.

PS: I'd like to trade my Incredible 2 for a Rezound....

Hey, Bryan... Are you talking about this article that was released towards the middle of AUGUST?

LMAO

That would be it. Those scamming bastards! I'd be willing to bet they're just in it for the money. Anyway, both phones are powerhouses and should remain relevant for quite some time.

I never seen any leaked pics of a RAZR or even heard of it. I have heard of the "HD" phone before the Bionic was out but that's about it, some post on flickr. Who knew a phone so similar to the Bionic would be out 1-2 months after the Bionic, it's never been done before by the same company. We're not here to argue which is better, but Moto should of gave the consumers a choice and instead screwed us out of it.

Read the article again. The Droid HD is the Razr... and the fact that you have two phones in the same picture looking like final hardware before either is released is one hell of a clue they will be released back to back. The Bionic should have came out 9 months before it did. The fact that Verizon released it at all leads me to believe it was more of a contractual obligation to Moto more than anything. I bet Verizon spends TONS of money and puts a lot more resources advertising the Razr, but that's just me...

Being a bionic owner it and constantly having issues with the fluctuation of 4g and 3g and it being a known issue with this phone until a software update is out I think it would be a decent thing motorola would do and let us exchange it for the razr instead of having to get a clr ever other week. In a way I can get it being a burn to all that got the bionic after a 9 month hiatus and not even two months later a new motorola phone comes out and they make a big spectacle with the CEO announcing out like they did the google nexus. I think how it was presented to the masses its the real reason most are bitter about it. I'm not going to lie and say I'm not a little bitter myself. Except for the constant signal fluctuation I do like my phone.

My TBolt does the same thing, as does the Charge and most likely the Revolution. I don't think Moto is the problem with the wavering radio... I think that is something Verizon is going to have to deal with as they break their necks rolling out a brand new network.

Its funny I've heard that from other people as well but I had the tbolt before for about 4months and I never had it fluctuate as much as buy bionic does
