Bionic vrs Razr Maxx

What don't you like about your Bionic?

The Maxx is pretty much the. Same thing as the Bionic only with a better screen and better battery.

The Maxx is not pretty much the same as the bionic....really? Have you looked at the specs. If you want an overall better phone and are willing to pay, get the Razr Maxx. If you don't want to pay, stick with the Bionic. Pretty simple. The maxx is worth it though.

Well, I had both a Bionic and RAZR MAXX and the ONLY noticeable difference to me is the battery life. Had I not sold my Bionic when I got the GN I would have went back to the Bionic, since the GN isn't working for me, and not spent the money on the MAXX. I really liked my Bionic and don't see enough noticeable difference to justify the cost and loss of an upgrade for so little benefit.

At this point I would just hold out for what's next. The Bionic is not that old.

Same os, same bugs. A little faster chip, a better screen, and better battery. The guts and brains are relatively the same thing.

Battery still wins and counts a LOT more than any other arguments anyone has provided so far.

Verizon,I have the Bionic and an upgrade should I upgrade to Razr Maxx?

Since the Razr and Maxx are the same phone I can tell you that you'll LOVE the Maxx, especially after the most recent updates. Battery life is even better now than before. They improved the camera too. This thing can pull in a signal where others only dream as well.

You won't be disappointed.

I'll confirm that for the Maxx as well. Battery is incredible. OS is stable with no drops, call clarity fantastic, camera very high quality, overall phone performance is fast and responsive. For some time, I was certain I'd go with a Galaxy Nexus, as my next phone. Once I tried them side-by-side, it was a no brainer, as the Razr's solid build quality was very obvious with very little difference in screen resolution.

Not sure about the Bionic, as I know it had problems early on in its release, and I made the decision to hold off. However, the Razr Maxx is the most stable phone I've owned to date.

I have seen many more differences coming from the Bionic to the Maxx. Of course the battery is THE reason to make the move but there are other subtle differences in the software too - the Motoblur is a bit different for instance the email client has a much better look and feel, other widgets likewise, weather widget many other little things. The docks for the Maxx are different and better both in hardware and software side. For instance the Maxx desktop dock give you a very nice (and different) set of options of what you want on your screen and has a nice screen saver displaying the time dimly. See attached pix of the phone in the dock. I encourage anyone with a Bionic to get a Maxx if it makes financial sense. The pix are of the "bedside" mode - there are other modes too, office, music etc - all add to the usefulness of the phone.

Hi androidatic - I got the dock at a Verizon store - its called the Droid Razr HD Dock. Motorola model name is MOTRAZRHDDOK and sku is 723755 668867. On Verizon's site they call it the Standard HDMI Dock. And yes, the MAXX fits, you have to take off the insert is all.

Actually, Verizon sells a dock specifically for the MAXX. I ordered one because I'm not all too thrilled about the fit in the original RAZR dock I have from the Droid RAZR. It fits with the insert installed, but I'm not sure I like it. Without the insert, it fits but it hands by the ports. It never touches the ground and that can't be good.
